2022 Best Seat in the House Auction Success

Despite cold and damp weather, enthusiastic bidders came out to support the Best Seat in the House Chair-ity Auction fundraiser for the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation. The final tally was more than $5,000 to help the Foundation support Senior Center programs and services.

This year the Think Tank committee added an interesting twist to the much anticipated annual event. The committee rounded up gently used chairs, bar stools, tables and mirrors (hence the With a Looking Glass!) representing varied genre and periods. The participating artists completed some amazing transformations that were auctioned at The Tiki Bar & Grill at 56th & Shore on Saturday March 12, from 5-9 pm. The new variety of pieces will allow bidders and buyers to find more options for their space and their taste! Artists and bidders mingled from 5-6 and then auctioneer Tracy Jamerson took over at 6 pm with the live auction.

Many thanks to the Think Tank for choosing the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation as the beneficiary for this artful energetic event. Committee members are Angela Lagan, Carmen Cardona, Linda Domingo, and Karen Behmke Love.
