Meet First Lady Edith Roosevelt at the Catherine Hickman Theater November 22
The community is invited to meet First Lady Edith Roosevelt on stage at the Catherine Hickman Theater, Friday evening, November 22 @ 7 pm. Tickets are available now and proceeds support the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation. The Foundation will also be collecting canned goods for the Senior Center Food Pantry.
Actress Nan Colton will portray Mrs. Roosevelt, the second wife of Teddy Roosevelt, who served as First Lady during his presidency from 1901 to 1909. She has been described as a woman of dignity and character.
Nan Colton is a playwright, director, storyteller, actress and arts educator who has performed and lectured professionally on stages throughout South Africa, Great Britain and the United States. She brings to life passionate, live portraits of remarkable women, and unforgettable tales of fact and fiction.
Tickets are $18.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Gulfport Beach Bazaar, 3115 Beach Blvd S., until the day of the show.
