The Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center actively seeks to support the independence and increased quality of life of its participants by encouraging involvement in programs and activities that promote their health, welfare, safety and dignity.

Coffee Club Tuesday, 4/1 (1st Tuesday of Every Month) @ 10:00 am. Coffee and Doughnuts are provided by Scott O’Berry as you discuss current events, the economy and investing.

1st Friday Flea MarketFriday, 4/4 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. You never know what treasure you might find!

A Place for MomMonday, 4/7 @ 5:30 pm.  Whether dealing with a crisis or planning the future, A Place for Mom Senior Living Advisors can guide you through finding senior care and housing options for you or your loved one at no cost to you.

Gulfport GetawaysTuesday, 4/8 – Fort De Soto. Whether relaxing on the pristine beach, touring the historic fort, or fishing the still waters, Fort De Soto is the place to be. Call GEMS at 727-893-2242 to reserve your seat by 4/2.  GEMS Members $10 / Non-GEMS Members $12.

Life is in the BloodWednesday, 4/9 @ 2:00 pm. Blood Analyst, Debi McArthur will analyze a drop of blood to show what different cells look like & what they mean.

Monthly Blood Sugar ScreeningsThursday, 4/10 @ 10:30–11:30 am. It’s important to know your numbers! The Springs at Boca Ciega Bay will provide blood sugar checks.

Walk Wise Tampa BayMonday, 4/21 @ 2:30 pm. FL consistently leads the nation in pedestrian deaths. Come to an educational/informative presentation specifically for senior pedestrians.

Blood Pressure ClinicThursday, 4/24 (Last Thursday of Every Month) @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Provided by Pinellas Point Nursing & Rehab Center.

Senior Follies ShowFriday, 4/25 @ 7:00 pm. Don’t miss this amazing show that only comes around once a year! Tickets are $6 each or 2 for $10. MUST purchase your tickets in advance. NO tickets will be sold at the door.

HCA Health Talks “Stroke Prevention” Monday, 4/28 @ 2:30 pm.  Anyone can have a stroke no matter your age, race or gender. The good news is that up to 80 percent of strokes can be prevented, and the best way to protect yourself and loved ones from stroke is to understand personal risk and how to manage it.
